Our site has been down, but we are BACK!
Our site has been having some technical difficulty because our old hosting company, Impact Hosting, was acquired by another company and this new management figured they would let the website go down 3 weekends in a row. Instead of having a backup plan they just let the server stop working. Basically it has been a big pain for us. But fear not, we have changed host providers and are now up a running again.
M Shanghai String Band strongly suggests to avoid Impact Hosting as a host provider. Impact Hosting is a terrible and unprofessional company. Go

Sad news about M Shanghai Bistro
Our regular monthly haunt, The M Shanghai Bistro & Den, is moving locations and is no longer having music. So for now, we have no regularly scheduled monthly show. We are looking into options to set something else up, but for the time being please check our
show schedule for all upcoming shows. We still usually play at least one show a month somewhere in Gotham.
For those that don't know, The M Shanghai Bistro is where the band was born and has been our home base for the last 7 years and as you can probably tell, it is where we got our name too. For us it is the end of an era, but all things must pass. Although we are sad to see this change, we are looking forward to new opportunities in the future. We always appreciate all our fans and send out huge amounts of love to May Liu the owner of M Shanghai Bistro. May is and will always be the bands greatest benefactor.

We played last Sunday live at WFMU, one of the last free form radio stations in the US and arguably one of the best stations around. The way it should be. Clear Channel free. Rupert Murdoch free. Corporatation free. We played on Irene Trudel's show and had an absolute blast!

SIGNS A RECORD DEAL
WITH RED PARLOR RECORDS
Big news in the MSSB camp. We have signed a deal with
Red Parlor Records! It is official. They will release the next record and re-release the first. We are very excited and can't wait to get to work with the guys at Red Parlor.
